Portfolio: Nosara Beach Walk Further Exploration

Who is walking on the beach? What is moving on the beach? What lives on the beach? What is the language of the beach? Is it visual? Can you hear it? What is the rhythm that comes to mind? Shifting sand propelled by the tide &emdash; how to capture it? All of these questions inspire me to continue with the Nosara Beach Walk Series. The end of my residency in Costa Rica began a search for questions I didn’t know to ask until I witnessed this particular world between land and water.

Whether these sketches translate into a 3-dimensional story, or a series of prints, or paintings will be determined over time. All options are considered and may culminate into giving every medium, every creature, every sound, and every pattern a voice.
